What is the difference between BYOD and Odata Feed , both of methods access same database?

    Before we get into the answer, what exactly do you mean by OData feed? The OData services? Or data feeds in Azure Data Lake?

    Then the list of differences would be very long, because they're completely different things.

    • BYOD is a database where you export data from F&O. Obviously, you can configure a schedule to export the data periodically.
    • OData services are web services that allow you to query data in F&O database, and also to create, update and delete data there. You need to explicitly call the web services from another application.

    The only thing that they have in common is that they're based on data entities. Note the list of entities isn't the same - if an entity supports data management (and BYOD), it doesn't have to support OData, and vice versa.
