Emailing EFT remittance changes alignment

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

I have a weird question. We are having an issue with the EFT Remittance (technically the Check Remittance Word Template). When we print the Template to the screen, our alignment is fine. But when we email the template in PDF format, it moves the alignment. See screen shots

Screenshot of Word Template and highlighted areas

Screen shot of when the same remittance is emailed in PDF. I highlighted the corresponding fields in the same color. Notice how the date, amount, paid, discount and net all move way over to the left?

Any ideas?? Help!

    Hi Heidi,

The issue that you have described above is a known issue in GP. We had some process changes on GP 2015 with word templates converting to PDF. While the process corrected an issue that was being encountered when emailing larger batches as PDF's, the fix brought upon the issue that you are seeing which unfortunately has not been fixed yet.

The issue is documented as Quality Report '87381' titled "Formatting error on all Word Templates when Sending as a PDF". Basically when emailing all templates as PDF, the formatting of the template gets off. You can read about this in the blog below:

There is a workaround for the most reports is to email them as Docx rather than PDF's.

    Thanks,
