General Journal Line Approval Workflow

I got notification for approval of General Journal line entry.. After getting notification request how to approve it...

    The URL under the due date will open the journal that has the line and an approval button will be available. To see all of the approvals assigned to you either find the tile on your role centre page for assigned approvals or search approval entries

    the URL under the due date it's take me to the General Journal line the entry. there is no approval button..

    Hello Aslamjmk,

    strange that you don't have the approval button on the Journal, to get the lines approved.

    Could you maybe try to search by "Request to Approve" in your side?

    That page will show you all the remaining Approval Request pending your approval.

    When I search  "Request to Approve " through Approver User and approve the General line entry . then i get notification that the Gen.line has been approved but entry still fall in General Journal lines instead of posting.. that entry should be posted after approve the request.

    Hi Aslamjmk again :-),

    yes, that's how it's designed. The approver just "release" those lines, so the sender (user who required the approval) can post them.

    With the approval you don't post automatically, just remove the restriction imposed when the approval request was sent, so the sender can post it after the approval is done.

    I try this already after the approval approved by approver I use the sender User to post the line but it's give me same error of "The restriction was imposed by the MS-GJLAPW-01 workflow, General Journal Line Approval Workflow." it's require again a Send Approval Request.

    It would be possible that not only 1 approval is needed?

    Do you use Workflow User Group with more than one approver? Approval Chain? or just Direct Approval?

    Can you check if you have in the workflow a response when the Approvals are = 0, that Remove the Record Restriction? If you miss this one, the Record Restriction is not released.

    Please check this and let me know.
