Hi Gurus,

We have a posted GL entry for a fixed asset we would like to reallocate to a different GL. Would it be possible to reallocate this from GL 1998 to a different GL?

If You want to use FA Reclass Journal - then You would need to create a new Fixed Asset or a separate Depreciation Book - then You could move the values from one FA to another.

If You stay with the same FA /Depreciation book, then You have 2 options:
    1) Reverse current entries, change the FA Posting Group for this FA/Depreciation book and create/post entries again.
    2) Gather current values on FA reports and G/L Accounts, change the FA Posting Group on the FA card, create lines in General Journal - to move the needed amount from this account to the one that relates to the new FA Posting Group.

As far as I know, this can't be done, you have to reverse it and re-post it again.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.
