How is the tracking token added?

Hello all

Just started testing the Dynamics CRM and have a question with regards to tracking emails by means of the token

I am using Outlook Web, Dynamics Online and Outlook 2016 for Mac, with  Microsoft Dynamics 365 App for Outlook installed

I have activated the token tracking option, however I am not sure I understand at which stage it is added and how. Is it when you reply to an email? When you compose one? Only from Outlook on the Web or Dynamics Online only?

    Hello Experts,

    I have enabled the tracking token but it's not working at my end.

    i am on dynamics 365 9.1 version online.

    am i doing anything wrong in this.

    Hi,

    I am using Outlook and Dynamics 365 with the Outlook add in. 

    I was able to send a email using a Contact template but I do not want the tracking token added to the end of my subject line.  I read this CRM tracking tag can be removed by:  Settings->Administration->System Settings->Email->Uncheck Use tracking token.

    Is this setting within the user who send the email or within the user who created the template?  I do not have access to Administration.  I also want the email to be tracked within dynamics.

    I would appreciate any guidance!

    Yes - that's right.

    Thank you. So the only way the token is originally added is by sending from Dynamics? Then of course it stays there and can be tracked anywhere. Did I get it right?

    Hi,

    The tracking token is added when you send an email from dynamics that is tracked in CRM either by the outlook add in, the outlook lightweight app or via the web interface.
