Extended long text field and doc formats

Hi

I'm looking to add a long text field (255 characters) to the sales order line detail using Extender.

will I be able to use all 255 characters on the order / invoicing document formats?

    Are you using native reports or extended reports like SSRS or Crystal?

    We can use it in extended reports.

    I think, in native reports,need to club the characters into different string fields via customisation.
