Hi Guys,

Is there a way to merge note attachments from a record and produce one singe PDF file on click of ribbon button? I am using CRM online v9.0.

    Hi Sachith,

There is no out of box configuration to achieve this requirement. And to be honest it doesn't look like a valid requirement cause in the attachment you could have different types of files i.e.  images, docs, excel, ppt, pdf etc how do you merge the content of these files in a single pdf?

I would suggest to discuss this with your client and try to convince to more realistic requirement.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Sachith Vidanage,

This article discusses exporting notes from CRM into text files. One you export the text files you can use a tool such as Soda PDF to merge your text files into one PDF. Condensing this process into one action that starts when clicking a ribbon button will be tricky, but you can customise the Ribbon with the RibbonWorkbench.

The general process is as follows, but will require a lot of custom development.

    1. Create a button that triggers a process to export notes into a PDF file. This might involve creating a JavaScript file, or a custom action to call a Plugin and kick off the main process.
    2. Create the process that exports notes into a PDF file. You can use the article I posted as a base to expand upon.
