How Can I close Opportunity with at least one Active Quote.

I have client requirement in which There will be multiple quotes across opportunity. Now the catch is "The system should have" at least one Quote Active" If we want to close the opportunity.

So I guess we need to change the OOB behavior to allow the opportunity to close with at least one Quote Active. I have done POC and still  have no idea How I will achieve this. Need your expert opinion.

Can you help me understand the requirement?

Usually, an active quote means the customer hasn't made a decision whether to accept or reject the quote. But a closed sales opportunity means the customer has made a decision.

So you need to close an opportunity (assumption: customer has made a decision) with an active quote (assumption: customer has not made a decision). So your business process is in conflict with the constraints of the system process.

Thanks for the response. Yes Mr Neil. You have sums up the requirement correctly. They want active quotes to be considered while closing an opportunity. Is there any possibility we can do it?

No, there isn't. Not without an unreasonable amount of custom development to satisfy a business requirement that is illogical and has low value.

You could have users close the quote and close the opportunity, then have a plugin re-create the quote and set its status to open after the opportunity has been closed. That would take a few days of effort.
