Is it possible to Track multiple e-mail accounts from Outlook to Microsoft Dynamics CRM?

Hi All,

I want to track multiple e-mail accounts from my outlook client to CRM.

My primary e-mail account works fine. However my service e-mail account gives the following error when I try to track the emails: Only items in standard Microsoft Outlook-archive can be promoted to Microsoft Dynamics CRM.itemname = ...

Can someone advice me?

- Do I need a exchange online server?

- Or a server where the Service account is the primary account?

Unfortunately it isn't possible to directly track emails outside of the primary Outlook account.

However, depending on your version of CRM, you could try the following:

Folder Tracking (CRM 7.1 and above)

www.microsoft.com/.../track-outlook-email-by-moving-it-to-a-tracked-exchange-folder.aspx

Outlook Inbox Rules

www.powerobjects.com/.../manage-dynamics-crm-multiple-synchronized-email-accounts

the strange thing is we were always informed and read that it is not possible.

but it is - we literally can track from two outlook accounts, same user, two email addresses, one crm user with one of those email addresses as the primary email under their user account in crm.

i have no idea when this was possible or how or when

I can't find any documentation from Microsoft. But the way GarethN mentioned still works in CRM 365 -v8.2, outlook 2016 -32bit.

However, the delegated account need to be configured for outlook plugin to access CRM at least once on any computer.
