[Document management] Related view of SharePoint Document entity stopped displaying custom column value in CRM

We use server side integration between CRM Online and SharePoint Online. The SharePoint document libraries/lists have a boolean custom column 'Curriculum Vitae' which we display in CRM using this 'trick' described by Jason Lattimer: http://ledgeviewpartners.com/blog/quick-tip-add-custom-columns-sharepoint-list/

This worked fine for more than a year, but recently we end-up with empty columns in CRM. What could be causing this?

If I read this right, you have something triggered on the SharePoint side to populate the value in the custom column:

"You’ll need to populate the custom fields in SharePoint as editing those properties through the list component isn’t exposed."

Is there a custom process that stopped executing on SharePoint? Or was there a manual process in place that got "forgotten" when the last user doing it left the organization?

Hi Nicolae, there's no custom business logic involved here. CRM handles (server side) the data retrieval from SharePoint. CRM is able to get custom column values (when the display names match), but stopped doing that in my case...

    Maarten,

Did you find the solution? I'm facing the same thing!

'Glad' to see I'm not the only one....

I'm sorry Olivier, no news from my side yet. I probably have to contact MS Support for this, but I first have to make it reproducible for them.

Please update this thread if you find a solution sooner than me.

    Hallo Maarten,

i have nearly the same issue.

Sharepoint and CRM have the same columns (displayname).

How do you insert the field value before to "Curriculum Vitae" ?

From CRM via Plugin or from Sharepoint manually fill?

I just try to fill the column from Sharepoint, but nothing happend.

    Best regards,

    Serone

I've contacted MS Support regarding this issue. It seems that if the server-based integration uses the root SharePoint site, the custom columns in the Documents subgrid show the corresponding values. However, if the server-based integration uses the SharePoint sub-site, the columns appear empty.

I'm still in the middle of the discussion with MS Support team, so maybe there will be some more updates.

    Hi All,

I submitted a couple of weeks ago an incident at Microsoft. Microsoft issue number: REG:116030993635180.

The last update that I received was:

" I hope you had a great weekend. I just checked with the escalation team and can see that it is waiting for a resource from the escalation team to be available."

I hope to receive a solution soon...

    Dear Tomas and Olivier,

Could the MS Support team solve this issue? If so, can you share the solution please?

I have received the following information from the MSFT team on 30/06:

    Resolution

    =========

The issue was investigated by me and submitted to the dev team with a proper fix resolution.

The dev team has accepted to fix this bug and they are now in the development process.

The fix will be delivered following the rollup release vehicle that actually is targeting crm 2015 ARA UR2 but I need to follow up with the dev team to get the confirmation and possible ETA about when the fix could be released on the Crm Online tenant.

As soon as I will be able to share am ETA about the fix request, I will follow up with you asap.
