Sharing Power Automate Flows

I added a custom action to a page to run a Power Automate flow. It shows up for me, but not for other users, even though I've added them as Run Only users for the flow. They also have permission to use the Power Automate connector in Business Central.

Is it possible to share a flow with other users without them needing to publish a copy of the flow to their own Power Automate flows?

I have the same question (0)

Yes, you can share the flow without others needing to republish it. Make sure the flow is created in a Power Platform solution, users are added as Run-Only Users, and the connections used in the flow are shared with them. Also, verify they have the right permissions in Business Central and access to the page where the action is placed.

    Sharing Power Automate Flows
I am experiencing the same problem, 2 years later. I don't want users to be able to edit/delete the flow, but want them to be able to run them from the button in Business Central. Did anyone had a solution for this so far?

    RE: Sharing Power Automate Flows

It appears the only way to make this work is by adding the user as an owner of the flow. This is less than ideal because anyone marked as the owner can modify or delete the flow at will. Does anyone know why users can't use flows where they've been granted "Run Only" permissions inside Business Central?

Our scenario is a "For selected record" flow initiated from Business Central. If I grant users "Run Only" permissions (see screenshot) either with "Use this connection" or "Provided by run-only user" the flow is grayed out in Business Central and they are not able to run it. The only way I have been able to get it to work is if they are an owner of the flow.

If anyone has been able to get this working, please let me know!

You can try to add them as owner of the flows as described in this documentation:

    RE: Sharing Power Automate Flows

    hi

it is possible to share a Power Automate flow with other users without them needing to publish a copy of the flow to their own Power Automate flows.

To do this, you can share the flow with other users by adding them as owners or contributors to the flow. To add a user as an owner or contributor to the flow, follow these steps:

Open the Power Automate flow that you want to share.

Click the "..." icon in the upper-right corner of the screen, and then click "Share".

In the "Share" dialog box, enter the email address of the user you want to share the flow with.

Choose whether you want to give the user "Can view" or "Can edit" permissions for the flow.

Click "Share" to share the flow with the user.

Once you've shared the flow with the other user(s), they should be able to access the flow from within Business Central as long as they have permission to use the Power Automate connector.

If you've already shared the flow with the other users and they still can't see the custom action on the page, you may need to check their permissions within Business Central to ensure that they have the appropriate permissions to access the page and run the custom action.
