Outlook sync with Citrix

Hi,

Is it possible to sync Dynamics AX (used through citrix) with Outlook? Or is it necessary to install Outlook client on Citrix server?

Another question: is synchronization with Outlook still manually handled or could it be automated somehow? Most of the users are using AX through Enterprise portal, so can they sync Outlook somehow?

    Hi, In your case you want every user to synch his outlook with AX via citrix ? Usually each user have a AX client and a Outlook client on his computer. By installing an outlook client on the citrix server I'm not sure if it will manage all the Outlook accounts or connect to one outlook account. What are your options from an architecture point of view ? Regards.

    From what I've worked with, you need to install Outlook client on the Citrix server.  You then need to manually open up Outlook on the Citrix server in order to synch with AX (since they are both installed on Citrix).

    I am not aware of an auto-synch function.  I would have users simply open Outlook on Citrix.
