My client ( on SL2015) is experiencing some discrepancies with their historical inventory costs and quantities. They are finding the differences on the 10640 report and have a few affected items. The current cost and quantity seems to be OK and lines up with the Item Site Quantity Tab, the Inventory Valuation Report (10620), and the Inventory Trial Balance (10630). The issue seems to reside with the historical quantity or cost depending upon the item. The client found the discrepancies using the 10640 report or Inventory Trial Balance / Valuation - Cost (or qty) Variance.
We've tried the inventory integrity check for a couple of the affected items, but that does not seem to remedy the issue. As an example here are the results of an attempt to rebuild inventory history for one of the affected items.
This is the System/Fatal Error Tab:

Here is the warnings/informational error tab:
Variances found in master tables for InvtId: 'CYL555999' SiteId: 'WHSE'

No variances found in recalculated values
Quantity - Item2Hist:1300.00 (-5018.00), ItemSite:1300.00 (1300.00), ItemCost:N/A, Location:1300.00 (1300.00), LotSerMst:N/A
Cost - ItemHist:1376.97 (-4473.49), ItemSite:1376.97 (1376.97), ItemCost:N/A
In both cases the 1300 quantity is appropriate and the ItemSite amount of $1376.97 appear to be in line with the client's expectations.
The records flagged by the integrity checks appear to be credit memos. I've tried tinkering with the cost records for the suspect line items with no luck and restore them back to their original state. Any thoughts as to how to correct. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

Thanks Jana,
We went ahead and opened a support ticket.
Dear JG,
I've put the question to a distribution specialist to see if they might have a suggestion.
You are on a supported version so you might consider opening a case with MS support, the answer may need
a look at data.
Best Regards,
Jana Macdonald
