Send email to the new owner when the owner of a task is changed

Posted on by 129

Hello together,

I would like to set up a workflow that send an email to the new owner of a task when the owner is changed.

For example: User A created a task and assign it to User B. User B should receive a email.

Could you please provide me suggestions how to set up the workflow?

Thank you in advance!

    Hi Leah,

    thank you so much!!

However, there is one thing I have to add:

I first had "owner" in the trigger, which then threw up an error message. By adjusting it to "ownerid" it worked and it is sent correctly.

Best regards and have a nice weekend

    Hi MichaelFo96,

If you want to achieve your goal through Power Automate, you can refer to the following steps:

1.Go to Power Automate and create one automated flow:

    Hi Leah,

    thank you very much!

It seems that our admins deactivated the "Processes" task because they want to do everything in power automate directly...

Is there a way to create the workflow in Power Automate? How it should look like?

    Thank you in advance
