Dear Team,

Hope all are doing well.

I'm trying to calculate WIP for Job, but I get this error. (There were no new WIP entries created).

Any Solution?

Hello,

That message means BC found nothing to calculate.

It happens when:

The Job has no Job Ledger Entries before your WIP posting date

The Job/Tasks are excluded from WIP or have no WIP Method

WIP was already calculated for the same date

Filters on Calculate WIP are too narrow

Check the Job Ledger Entries + WIP Method + Task setup, then run Calculate WIP again with minimal filters.

Before anyone can give you a proper answer it's important to know what WIP method you have enabled for the project. The calculation of WIP will be dependant on the method selected. It's hard to say what it should or shouldn't be calculating without knowing that first.

Hello,

This error means Business Central found no job ledger entries eligible for WIP calculation. Common causes include missing WIP setup on the Job Card (WIP Method and Posting Group), job tasks not assigned a WIP method, no costs or usage posted yet, incorrect date filters, or incomplete WIP Posting Setup.

To resolve, ensure the job and tasks have WIP settings, confirm unrecognized job ledger entries exist, and run the calculation with proper filters.
