I am looking at possibly moving to D365. One of our vendors advised that it would take 3 months to get D365 F&O up and running. We are not looking at any customization or historical data migration from another system. It would be like a fresh start. We would have customer master, Item Master, and Vendor Master listings from excel that we would want to import. Is this timeframe accurate? I would think the turnaround time would be much shorter since we are not looking to make any customization. Essentially use "Out of the Box" system. I am not up to speed on the background work it takes to get a cloud ERP system running. Any insight on timing to get D365 working with out customization would be much appreciated.
Hi,
This seems like a easy question but it is not.
Implementation takes time, as per practice you should gather requirement for way of working, setup etc.
If you want maintain quality you need to keep patience and go with all the phases before you deploy into production.
Like, start from workshop, analysis, design, UAT, SIT, BUG solve, configuration and then if you or your customer think the system us okay, you can move to Go live.
Other wise it can be a mess if you don't maintain quality.
