Why does GP create and put in stock in the Bin called Autocreate? I have a number of sites that have stock in this Bin. We didn't create and we don't move stock into it so how does it get there?

The autocreate bin location gets created in GP when you first enable the Multiple Bins functionality. Any transaction quantities that do not have a bin record get put in the 'Autocreate' bin. You are getting transactions into this location because some of your transactions have no bin assigned.
Any bin can be deleted once there are no unposted transactions for it, and it is not the default bin for any sites, and the quantity on hand in the bin is zero.
If you want to remove the autocreate bin, you can transfer stock out of the autocreate bin to other bins using the Inventory Transfer window. Then you need to go to Tools >> Utilities >> Inventory >> Remove Bins...and remove the autocreate bin.
