odata action permissions required by the finance and operations user

I have created a data entity and exposed an OData action. The method is meant to generate base64 string for the sales invoice. So the user would be assigned a specific role in F&O (not sys admin). I explicitly granted permission to the odata action method in the data entity.

When I tested running this entity action from Postman, I got the following error

/User is not authorized to invoke method createSalesInvoiceBase64 on view CustTransEntity. Request denied./,

If I give sys admin to the user, the entity works perfectly fine. But other than sys admin it just won't work. I have even tried giving the user as many roles as possible except for sys admin and still nothing. Am I missing something here? I went through the MS documentation but all it says provide dedicated user with appropriate permissions.

Can anyone help?

What permissions are granted to the data entity itself on this privilege?

See the data entities can be accessed only with admin access. You can try a work around like to assign the privileges of this data entity to user.
