CRM Workflow fires twice on Quote record status change

Hello,

I have configured a simple workflow on Quote Record Status change event. This workflow fires an email to Sales Manager when a Quote is Won or Lost. This workflow is firing twice due to twice status change as shown in below image. Actually, Quote is undergoing twice status change. I want to send only 1 email. 

Can someone faced this issue before? If so, how is it rectified? Thanks in advance.

    I had to change the workflow from firing on Record Status Changes to Record Field Changes --> Status Reason. I also noticed before the duplicate firing only happened with 2 + tabs open which is odd. I have not uncovered the why yet, I am just glad it is no longer firing two times.

    Did anyone find the solution? I too got the same problem. please share your answer if you find it.

    It still sends even after adding check on Status Reason. Actually as per my workflow logic, sending email should only fire where Status Reason is Won/Lost. But here it fires twice and executes sending email twice.

    See below image. I added Status Reason check condition. Since this entire workflow runs twice, it sends two emails back to back to Sales Manager with 2 different token numbers issued in the subject.

    You mean it fires twice or it send the email twice even after putting a check to status reason is.won'lost?

    The workflow.will trigger twice but putting a check will not execute the send email statement unless the condition is true.

    Even though I add check, still it fires twice. I added check if Status Reason Won or Lost, the lookup executes twice.

    Yes, best option would be to put a check.

    Yes. I tried change firing event from Record Status change to Status Reason. But it still fires twice. It's strange.

    Hi,

    This seems expected ad when you close a draft quote it fitst changes to active and then clise state.

    You can put a check in your worflow to send email only when status reason is won or lost.
