unable to restrict export to excel

Hi All,

I need to remove the "Export to Excel" option on D365 online and it looks I cannot do it. I have unchecked the "Export to Excel" for the security role the user is assigned to but user is still able to export his data to excel.

Any idea how to restrict it?

Regards

Venkatesh G

    Hello Gopalaiah,

Ideally, it's supposed to work like that. The "Export to Excel" security role should stop seeing the export buttons.

I tried that in my environment and it works.

Did you try using the Incognito mode? It could be a cache issue. I also had to open it in the incognito mode.

Also, ensure there is no other role assigned to the user via teams.

    Hope it works.

    Hi Partner,

You can also try to Open the Application Ribbon in Ribbon workbench (XrmToolBox), customize the button/command & try adding the HideCustomAction node

Thank you Virendra, It worked as expected when I tried Incognito mode. I also think there was one more security role which had the export permission. I was able to resolve it.

    Hi Venkatesh,

I am glad it worked for you. Could you please mark my answer verified if it helped?
