Hi Folks,

We are facing a weird issue in Ax 2012 SSRS reports while exporting to excel. It throws the error which shown in the attached image. FixedAssetError.jpg . Only for one report we are facing this issue especially for export to excel. I can able to export successfully to PDF, WORD, CSV but not allowing for EXCEL. I tried to debug but it running on Framework shared services, so I couldn't. I checked in on-line to get any idea about the issue but no help and I couldn't understand the explanation available in the below link.

    Quick Update on the Issue:

The report throws the error only if the date field doesn't contains the value. If I filter the report without datenull, I can able to export, but if I have any empty date field then getting this error.

As it is an export, it don't consider about the values, why should it behave like that. I am unable to get.

    Is this a RDP report?

while exporting to excel date value is converted to OLE Automation date and gets saved in excel sheet. This is how dates are handled in excel. Make sure you are not accedently asigning any garbage value /special character(invisible) to date field when no date is returned by the query.

Check expression on the date field.
