Price discount groups for customers

Hi

We wish to apply price discounts for certain customers that belong to a line discount group for our wholesale and trade customers. For particular furniture items they get a discount. Utilising Trade Agreements seem complex, has anyone done a whitepaper on this process to make it easier to understand?

    Very possible to do. Trade agreements functionality seems complicated, but it is actually very cool once you learn and understand. All you need to do it watch the setup example and it will be a piece of cake afterwards.

    Are you thinking of the sales agreements? I would probably use a table referenced (customer) line discount instead of using a sales agreement. SA is a cool thing, but for simple discounts with no quantity or total revenue calculations required, it is a unnecessary. It is also not the best way to manage it because it will require you to maintain the price two places and there are no administration of the prices like if it is all in price agreements.

    Just add the special price in the Price/Discount journal. Tick the "find next" if you want to also check for further discounts on "group" or "all" level. Or keep it turned off to stop searching once the price is found.
