Very slow workflow performance

Hi,

Do you have any idea why the Purchase requisition workflow takes 20 minutes to process just 1 purchase requisition with very simple approval hierarchy?

I'm using D365.

Appreciate your thoughts on this.

    Please check your batch job reccurance time in the batch job for workflow.

    Hi MaryPeace,

    Workflow process is run in background batch job. you can check the batch job reoccurrence setup.  Also you can try to capture a trace and check if there is any slow queries.

    Hi marypeace,

    Can you provide an update if your question had been solved or if you need more help? I have seen very poor performance in the workflows in the past with various different root causes.

    Hi Andre,

    We check the batch recurrence setup and change it from 4 minutes to 1 minute.

    I will ask the users if they are still experiencing slow performance.

    I will update you once I got a reply from the users.

    According to users, the workflow approval has significant improvement after changing the batch recurrence setup.

    @Ramit Paul/@André Arnaud de Calavon - Can you please let me know where can I check this batch job please? I am not able to find it exactly. I am facing a similar issue for Project Quotations approval.

    On the Batch jobs form, search for a record with the value Workflow message processing or similar in the description field. If you need more assistance, please create a new question on the forum as this one has been marked as completed already.
