Integration using Business Central's API with a scribe connector

Hello,

This is from a developer I am working with:

"Business Central's API is essentially an oData web-service (oData v4.0).

The Scribe REST connector requires the web service to be documented in accordance with the Open API specification (OAS).

This used to be known as Swagger. Scribe requires it in a .JSON format"

This documentation doesn’t seem to exist yet?

Does anyone have this, or can point me in the right direction?

Many thanks,

Julien

At the time of writing, it looks like the team is targeting April 2019 for this. There's a mention of support for the Open API specification, specifically "Business Central will provide support for generating OAS 3.0... After April 2019, Business Central API documentation will also generate via OAS."

I too am looking forward to this, as I'm hoping it will simplify integration with Microsoft Flow & Logic Apps, through more powerful connectors and the ability to use the Webhook objects

This is a limit of Scribe. D365BC API are OData v4 and they use REST. You can also expose D365BC logic using web services (SOAP).

If Scribe is not able to use these standard protocols, you need to create a custom “middle tier” that received a request from Scribe and talks with D365BC API or WS and vice-versa.

This should help you further: docs.microsoft.com/.../fin-graph
