Hi Leslie, did you solve this? I am making an upgrade 2013 -> 2016. And get the same, it happens in a different step every time.
Any idea?
Any update on this one?
Just to add onto what Victoria noted...Have you disabled UAC? What does the Dexsql.log say? What if you create a new ODBC connection or try using a different type of driver?
Hi Leslie,
Let us know how it goes with the latest service pack. If you still have the problem, some questions that might help with troubleshooting:
Is this a completely brand new GP installation, ie new SQL databases, etc? Is SQL local on the same machine? What Windows user are you logged in as during the installation? Have you run something like Malwarebytes and/or a virus scan to make sure there is no malware/viruses on the computer? Why did you uninstall, was something not working? For the re-install, are you putting it in the same location as the previous installation?
Hi Richard,
Thank you for the response. I have already tried loading the sample company later. I can create a 'test' company with no problem, but I can't get the sample company data loaded. I'm using build 1328, I'm going to update it to the current service pack and try again.
Kind regards,
Leslie
Leslie, you were part of this previous thread.

What would happen if you chose just to create the DYNAMICS database first and then came back and loaded the sample company? You can go into SSMS right now and delete the TWO database and then run the CLEARCOMPANY script and then try this.
