Hi,
We've got a special setup at a customer site, they use Lotus Notes as their email system.
So I had to setup the email router and configured both SMTP as POP3 profiles.
I also set the inbound and outbound of the test user to "Email router"
Sending mails through CRM via Internet Explorer works as a charm. Replies are also tracked so SMTP & POP3 are ok.
They want to use CRM for Outlook for the Offline capabilities on their portables.
So we configured Outlook without email support and installed CRM for outlook.
Everything was working great until you needed to send an email via CRM for outlook.
For an unknown reason, it uses the standard dialog of outlook and because there was no email support, there was no send button.
Ok, might be an Office problem, so we configured a bogus email account to get the Send button.
Retried sending the mail and he tries to send the mail via Outlook instead of via de Email Router (as configured on the user)
How can we set this up that all the mails (send in CRM for outlook & CRM Web) are always send through the email router?
Sending & receiving via CRM Web is working fine, so I can't figure out what's wrong.
Regards,
Sven Peeters

I have the same question (0)In the CRM user settings, use the option Email router for Outgoing Access type. This will ensure that email is sent through the router for that specific user.
