Hello, I have a 2 questions on e-mail templates.

1. How do I associate a certain e-mail template to a module or purpose for example New order creation email template to be sent to a customer when a sales order is created.

2. My emails show up as email templates , the place holders are not replaced for examples %customer name% remains , it doesn't change.

Topic-1

I don't think so, Microsoft has OOTB trigger to send an email when the order is created, but it is achievable, You can make some customization and call the email template framework to send the email.

Topic-2

Place holder only resolves when you are sending an email using workflow email templates, but for the custom features, you need to replace them manually by writing your own logic, for reference you can check the existing code.
