Kansas City has a local tax of 1% on Kansas City wages only. We have a company that has employees in Kansas and Missouri. How do I calculate local tax only on the Missouri wages?

Terri,
I don't have my computer in front of me right now, so I can't check this, but can't you add another tax table to the tables already set up? Then you could handle it as a Local Tax, like Yonkers.
Kind regards,
Leslie
Sorry. I didn't explain my problem well. We have employees that have both Kansas and Missouri wages. I can't figure out how to calculate the local tax on just the Missouri wages.
Do you have a separate pay code for Kansas wages and Missouri wages?
Not currently.
To clarify, the system will not make the split between Kansas and Missouri without some indicator at the pay code level.
Within Payroll Transaction entry window, you would need to have two individual entries. One for Kansas and one for Missouri.
**Hint** You will need to click on the show details icon. (looks like upside down corporal stripes)
Hi Douglas,
The official name is a Chevron, like the gas station :)
