Changing Default date on Frx reports

We are trying to run our consolidated reports – after selecting the report in the Catalog window where you can change the report date, we are normally able to select the appropriate period we want to run. The system is defaulting to 1/31/2010 and we want to run the report for 2011, both 01 and 02. When we change the date it does not stay and reverts back to the 1/31/2010 date.

I made sure that the GP company had the current fiscal year of 2011 as an open period – not sure what else to try.

You have to close the periods for year 2010 form Fiscal Periods Setup Screen,

FRx put the data for the 1st open period from the Fiscal Periods Setup Screen.

Try setting the Default Base Period on the Periods and Dates window to S-2. You can just type this in. That should make the report default to the system date (March) minus 2 (January). Make sure to save the report - this setting is report specific.

Another thought, I had a 'sticky' date once when trying to print reports for the next period of a recently closed year, I deleted the index file (.g32) and relaunched FRx. Once the index file was recreated it worked just fine.

If you are running a multi company environment - FRX will set all default information based on the company you are logged into.

Verify the Fiscal year in the company your are logged into to make sure it exxists or change the default company to recreate FRX spec set.

The fields marked in red box in screenshot below are not saved with report and fields marked in green are saved with report. As Victoria Yudin mentioned, try using default base period to specify the date.

I am also having the same problem. We have closed 2013 fiscal period in GP and opened 2014. And 2014 is the only open year in GP. We need to change the report date to 01/01/2014 in Frx Catalog. But we are not able to change the date. If we changed the date to 01/01/2014, it will revert automatically to 01/01/2013. But this is allow us to change the date in prior years like 01/01/2012, 01/01/2011, etc.

How can I change the report date from 01/01/2013 to 01/01/2014?

Soma,

Had the same problem several times. Deleting the index file and launching FRX had always worked. Recently faced with the same issue and this time the virus became immune the solution did not work. Adopted a small change to the procedure.....

The issue was occurring to only one users, who initiated the problem and it was then a system wide issue.

The change I did was to have all users log out, delete the indexes and recreate the indexes using a login which was other than the user who had the login. This resolved the sticky situation.

Hi Soma,

I face another problem. In 2014 i run the Frx Report as i used prior year(not change base year), the income statement works well. However the balance sheet only include current year number even in the YTD line. My default year is S-2. What should i do to make the Balance sheet report work well?
