Vacation/Sick Accruals (basic payroll) on paycheck?

Does anyone know if we can add the vacation and sick accrual amount (not the balance, the amount accrued each pay period) to show on the paycheck? I am referring to the basic Payroll vacation/sick accrual -- not PTO Manager or the HR accruals?

I have a request from a client to add the amount accrued this pay period, not just the balance.

Thanks!

Heidi

Hi there, just wondering if anyone has any ideas where to capture the accruals?

I don't think the periodic accrual is stored in any of the tables. However, I think the amounts can be derived from the balances in the UPR30100 table. You could get it from the tables by subtracting the current amount from the amount on the previous check. I'm thinking you would need to use VBA to retrieve and calculate the amount.

Not a great idea, but it might work :)

    Kind regards,

    Thanks Leslie!

It might not be the best idea, but it was the only response, so it is greatly appreciated! :)

Luckily for me, I talked the client out of it and they agreed it wasn't critical for the pay statements.  Also, their vacation is so simple, if anyone accrues vacation they all accrue the same rate, so I'm not sure why it was such a big request anyway.

Again, thanks so much for responding!

I am setting up HR for a company and am faced with a challenge. There is no defined way vacation is accrued by employees in the organization. Each employee is given hours of vacation by the Management. It is quite irregular and employee specific.

I will appreciate if anyone can explain to me how to maintain vacation periods of this manner on Dynamics GP.

There are many options for setting up accruals - maybe just use the Payroll Vacation/Sick? You could also use the PTO Manager if they purchased Advanced Payroll? Otherwise you will need to create a schedule and override it for each employee.

Please, can you explain how i can use the payroll vacation/sick OR how to override a created schedule for each employee to achieve my aim because i dont have the PTO manager.

To use the basic payroll vacation and sick time you may need to inactivate HR - but if that won't work you will need to set up indivual schedules for each person, unfortunately. You can navigate to this location from Employee Maintenance - there is a Vac/Sick window at the bottom.  Here you can enter to accrue  vacation and/or sick and how much per pay period.
