Hello Experts,

One of my customer wants to use the Cross Company Data Sharing policy for vendor and customer both.

I want to know how I can achieve for Dimension in vendor/customer master data sharing? I saw in blogs this is not possible.

If not, what is the alternative we can think of?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Ramit,

Can you explain what you want to achieve? The text is not clearly stating if you want to copy the same dimension set or want to be able to default different dimensions per company.

    Dear Andre,

    Sorry, I was not clear.

My customer will create vendor in one legal entity AR and that master will flow to other legal entity RR

In AR LE, they will default dimension and they want the same dimensions to be added in RR LE.

    Hi Ramit Paul,

Did you check this option in 'Feature management' and after enabling it, if this is allowing to share the master data dimensions in other legal entity?

I have not checked this yet. You can check and share your input.

    Hi Ramit,

As per design, the DefaultDimension field is disabled for sharing. This is because every legal entity can have other account structures which results in different foreign reference IDs to dimension sets and values.

As a workaround, you can use data management for Export and Import Framework. There is an option for "Copy into legal entity". This is using data entities and you can then manage which dimensions which be considered.

If you are looking for more features around Master Data Management and Data Governance, you can also look at the AppSource for ISV solutions. Business Apps – Microsoft AppSource

    Hi Ramit,

Were you able to find a solution for this? I have the exact same issue to mitigate and looking for some advice.
