Data Management: Mandatory fields in staging table differs from the template exported

Hi,

I am trying to import Customer payment journal line via data management. I had exported the template from Data Management, filled up all the fields and am trying to import it to a journal. I have managed to map all the fields from source to staging except this one mandatory field "Currencycode" which is not in my template. I do have the currency information, but how do I add this into my template please. Else, how do I remove the mandatory field from the staging.

Appreciate if someone can help me with this. Thank you.

    Hi

Have you tried updating the data using the Excel Addins?

If possible, can you please share the mapping details for the Customer payment journal - Data Entity from the Import projects.

Please try the below workaround -
    1. Create an Export Project in the data management for Customer Payment Journals.
    2. Download the package or file.
    3. Update the information for customer payment journal
    4. Create an Import project in the data management for Customer Payment Journals.
    5. Trying importing the file again.

    Hy,
I think you can not remove mandatory fields form this entity.
And the Currency is part of the Customer payment Journal Line Etity

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I am trying to export Customer Payment Journal

For the Customer payment journal line, I have already done the exporting and having problem with the importing.

My template which I got from exporting have these 11 fields:

But, when I try mapping source to staging, the "Currency" is a mandatory field in staging. Since this is not in the template, I'm not sure how to add it to the source.

When I tried adding the Currency in excel and map it, I have error importing.

You've resolved the problem with the currency code by adding it to the imported file. You know have a different problem, one related to financial dimensions.

The format can be defined in General ledger > Chart of accounts > Dimensions > Financial dimension configuration for integrating applications.

    Hi Arvind Bharti,

Thanks, I tried this method but it's still not working.

    Getting the error below:
Results. No active format for data entities has been set up.
Set up an active format for each dimension format type.
Results. Error found when validating record.

I checked and we have already done the all the dimension set up.

    Hi Martin Drab,

I have arranged and activated the Financial Dimensions, but I still get the same error comment.

Is there anything else I should add here?

    HI,

Which means now problem is not currency , now it seems the dimension format you are entering has problem.

i see you do not have default dimension field for your account in your template , you just have customer.

Ideally you should have one more field for subledger dimensions.

Also can you provide which data entity you are using exactly to import? Customer payment journal line or somthing else?

You've configured Default dimension format, but you need Ledger dimension format, don't you?
