Social Engagement - Facebook Acquisition

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone could help. I keep getting the following error in Social Engagement -

ACTION REQUIRED! There is no valid Facebook Acquisition profile authenticated in this solution and data acquisition for Facebook pages has stopped. To start data acquisition for Facebook pages, go to Social Profiles, authenticate a Facebook Acquisition profile, and then allow the acquisition of Facebook pages.

I have checked the settings for Social Networks and I have currently four Facebook profiles which are showing up as 'running' under data acquisition and the tokens are showing as valid, so I'm not sure as to why I seem to be getting this error. Can anyone help?

yeah.. since you have rechecked the settings and this being such a weird issue, a ticket with MS is a good idea. Share MS findings here, it will be interesting to find out the actual cause.

Hi Pranav, I've tried these and had no luck. We did have an old user which had a red X next to it but I removed that account last week and replaced it with four brand new profiles.  Do you think it's worth creating a ticket?

RE: Social Engagement - Facebook Acquisition

    Hi,

This is a very unusual issue, not sure whether this will help, however it will be worth going through below points:

--All social profiles are user specific. You can interact only by using profiles that you own or profiles that are shared with you. You must have an Interaction role of Responder or Manager to work with social profiles in Social Engagement.

--Make sure you have the correct credentials before you attempt to add a social profile or claim ownership for an existing profile.

--You can own social profiles by adding them to the solution. You can share the owned profiles with other users, and stop sharing them or delete them when you don't need them. More information: Let other users work with your social profile, Delete a social profile

--You can delete both the profiles you own and the profiles with multiple owners. If a profile is shared with you, you can post on social media by using this profile, but you can’t remove it from Social Engagement. More information: Let other users work with your social profile

--You must be an administrator for this Facebook page to authenticate it.

In the end just try recreating the profiles.

    Regards,

    Pranav
