Loading customer name to customers field

Hi All,
 
I want to display the customer's name on this Customers field when the form is loaded (The customer name should be retrieved from the respective opportunity). This field is a look-up field. Salespeople can create new activities (meetings, phone calls) to opportunity using this form.
 
So is there any way to display/edit and remove a customer's name on this Customers field without using JavaScript?
