Resolve Import Error Code

The new ImportLog fuctionality in Import Wizard is cool, where you now easily can export the failed rows. However I'm missing a column that resolves the Error Code.

In my example I get the Error Code -2147220653. The ImportLog record tells me nothing more about the reason why the import of this row has been failed.

So why does Microsoft not provide a column where the Error Code is resolved? It should tell me something like "LookupNotFound" instead, according to this reference:

http://dyn365apps.com/2017/02/09/quick-reference-dynamics-365-web-service-error-codes/

I remember in the former Import Wizard you were seeing a resolved version of this Error Code.

How are we able to add an additional column to this View "ImportLogs"?

Looks like a bug? - What do you think?

    Hi moko33,

It looks like the value of the lookup field in the import file has no corresponding record in D365.

Please check that the value name of the lookup field in the import file is exactly correct, including capitalization, spaces, punctuation, etc.

Hi moko, Do you know which specific lookup field you are trying to import data in? Importing data in to Dynamics via lookups can usually be quite tricky. For example are you here importing contacts and setting the relating Account to the Contact? do you know if those records do exist and again this does usually cause a lot of issues. I would suggest initially ignoring the lookup field you are uploading to and see if any additional errors are thrown.
