Opportunity Ribbon buttons not working after update to v9

Posted on by 200

Hi All,

We have updated our Dynamics online from v8.2 to v9.0 but after it, close as won and close as lost seems to not work anymore in opportunity form.
When clicking on the buttons it does not do anything. All web resources in form are with prefix msdyn_ (assumed all OOTB files).
Investigation, I signed up a trial for v9 and there are web resources in the form which does not exist in our instance.

From the trial Form: these files does not exist in our D365

Sales/Opportunity/Opportunity_main_system_library.js

msdyn_/Opportunity/Opportunity.Library.js

msdyn_/Utils/head.js

msdyn_/Utils/ResourceLoader.js

** error when trying to import these js, "The following components are missing in your system and are not included in the solution"

Also noticed in our instance there is this msdyn_/SalesDocument/SalesDocumentFormLoader.js which gives error on browser console but when I check in the trial (v9) this file does not exist there, only in our instance which is from v8.2 - v9.

Does anyone has experienced something like this?

Thank you all in advance.

Regards,
Chid

Our CRM organization also got the same problem, after upgrade from 8.2 to 9.0

There are no response window pop up, when click "Close as Won", "Close as Lost", and "Re-Open Opportunity".

After several action by Microsoft team support, Finally the problem solved today.

The last action is synchronizing the version of Org and DB.

If your CRM Organization still in problem, and have the different version between Org and DB, please try ask Microsoft Support to synchronize it.

    Hi,

MS has called me several times, the last one the past week, saying that they would run a script on my instance.

After a month, the issue is still there and the support ticket is still open.

The only way I found to use CRM and closing opportunities is to create workflow on demand, as I wrote before.

    Regards,

    Alessandro

RE: Opportunity Ribbon buttons not working after update to v9

    Hi Chid

Any news / solution on this?

(my customer who upgraded by mistake can still not close opportunity - now for a month and a half).

(I run support ticket 118022817726053 (created February 28th) but no solution has been found yet!)

(the CR131646 advisory warning mentioned has also been removed from O365 health status - can't even search it out now in the history)

I look forward to offer my customer a CRM platform with ability to manage their sales pipeline :)

    /H

    Hey guys,

I found a workaround until MS fixes this issue.

I create two on-request workflows to change status of opportunity: one for "close opportunity as won" and another one for "close opportunity as lost".

    And it works!

    Let me know

    Hey Chid,

There is really nothing that you have done wrong here, the update does this, you update, then complain that it is not working, Microsoft sees all the complaints, creates an update and rolls it out until the system is completely clean on the new version then they can roll it out to larger organisations; just the way things happen.

In a recent update from Microsoft, this issue should be fixed:

    * Buttons are disabled due to incorrect ribbon data.

Here is a link to the update and to the issues it should fix: support.microsoft.com/.../4093810

Good luck everyone, we just have to wait for the updates to rain fixes on us.

    The solution for us is:

    1. move opportunity to offer (next phase)

    2. activate offer

    3. activate order

Then we get the pop-up box we used to get, when we “Close as won”...

Poor workaround, but working for us

Hello, we have exactly the same problem that is being investigated by MS support. They said that it should have been fixed with the update of 19 March but unfortunately the problem is still there.

WOW! Thanks so much for the heads-up! Been working With Microsoft-support for a while now and getting som progress, but we'll probably have to roll-back to 8.2 unless any major changes happen...

    Another one for your list:

    - If you apply auto-numbering (the new v9 out-of-box feature) to the primary field for an entity, the entity will no longer appear in any solutions and you won't be able to add/edit views for the entity. So, I would stay away from the new auto-numbering feature until you see that Microsoft has addressed this problem.
