When I open a report daily sales by register it shows ( today , week to date, month to date, year to date ) when I open another report on ( detailed sales for the month ) or detailed sales for the year ) my numbers don't match, I suspect I have a manager that is stealing
what could be the cause of the numbers not matching? in my other stores the number match.

the numbers for those reports should match but are pulled from different place in the data. The daily sales relies on the Z-Report process in the system and there for could be 3 am to 4 am the next day.
The detailed sales relies on the calendar date and 12am as the day delimiter. This means that the reports could in theory not be the same is sales crosses the 12am (midnight) boundary for the detailed sales report.
Make sure you z-reports match your daily sales reports. Daily sales reports are much more reliable in the system and can still be grouped to give you summary numbers. Also most other reports share the same midnight cut off that this report has.
