Unable to install VS developer tools

Hi,

I am trying to install VS developer tools on a server. During prerequisite check I receive following errors:

Download and install Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Service Pack 1 from go.microsoft.com/fwlink .
For information about how the prerequisite was validated, click the View log file link. For detailed troubleshooting steps, see the troubleshooting section of the Installation Guide at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=211990.

Install a supported version of Visual Studio.
For information about the versions of Visual Studio that are supported with Microsoft Dynamics AX, go to go.microsoft.com/fwlink.
For information about how the prerequisite was validated, click the View log file link. For detailed troubleshooting steps, see the troubleshooting section of the Installation Guide at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=211990.

The details of that server are:

OS: Windows server 2012 R2 standard edition

AX: 2012 R3 CU09

SQL Server: SQL Server 2014 Enterprise edition with service pack 1

Visual Studio: vs2013 professional, update 5

VS 2010 service pack 1 is already installed

When I checked on internet for the first error, posts suggested me to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010  x86 Redistributable Setup, when I tried that, I received message that higher version is already installed.

How can I resolve the error?

Regards,

Abhinay

AX 2012 R3 CU9 requires Visual Studio 2013, not Visual Studio 2010. Are you sure that the installer you're using includes CU9?

By the way, you said that you already have VS 2012 SP1. Please make sure that you don't have installed AX tools for VS 2010. I would remove VS 2010 completely.

I hope so. Is there any way to confirm that?

This is a fresh Ax setup, no VS 2010 dev tools are installed.
