Load status updating from Open to Posted to Waved

I am hoping someone can assist me in understanding the functionality we are experiencing in our D365 Finance and Operations environment.

We are doing performance testing, and when the system is put under strain, when loads are Released to warehouse their statuses first updated to Posted, and then later on the status will update to Waved, and then the Work details will be available.

When the system is not strained, then the status just goes Open to Waved, and the work details are available immediately. 

Has anyone seen this before and can you explain why this would happen? Many thanks.

    I have not seen it before. When put the system under strain, are you doing processes differently in comparison when it is not strained?

    We are just running testing at volume, for example, multiple processes executing at the same time, and we are releasing around 300 loads to warehouse across an hour using multiple user accounts.

    Is it the normal Load status sequence to go from Open to Posted to Waved?

    Hi LieseMarie,

    It sounds for me that the system re-open a load from posted to waved. I doubt whether it is correct.

    My advice would be to create a support ticket to Microsoft.

    Hello,

    I could provide you with more information regarding the 'Release to Warehouse' operation. This operation involves the immediate creation of both a shipment and wave, with the possibility of automatic release of the wave to create follow-up work, depending on your system settings.

    As you have described, your system is configured to automatically release the wave and create the follow-up work. It is worth noting that these sequential operations are processed through a batch job. Therefore, if the system experiences high workload, you may notice that the load status changes intermittently. However, when the workload is low, the system is capable of performing the entire operation almost instantaneously.

    I hope this explanation clarifies any confusion you may have had regarding this process.
