Hello out there. This is a minor issue, however I would like to know why the Generic Description field in GP is so wide but it only allows you to input up to 10 digits or characters. It looks like it could take 30 characters.

This is an esthetic issue. The layout of the window looks better if the widths of the objects are equal. All of the fields on the left side of the window are the same width. Unlike the character based programs, windows programs make no attempt to limit the size of the field based on its capacity. I came from DOS databases and it was very frustrating when I went to windows and no longer could tell how many characters the field held.

This is a limitation of SQL. The field in SQL is only setup to hold 10 character.
