Realease to warehouse / Transfer Order / Keep License Plate

I am moving product from one warehouse to another warehouse using transfer orders and release to the warehouse and mobile devices.

I am moving a pallet of product that is equivalent to an License Plate


  I would like to move the pallet of product from one warehouse to the other without losing the LP, keeping the same License Plate number from store 1 and transfer it to store 2.

How do I do this?

    Hi Kattia,

    If you want to move an existing license plate completely to another warehouse keeping the same license plate number using a transfer order, kindly follow the following steps.

    Consider this scenario

    We have a license plate LP-01 which has items item A with 5 pcs and item b with 7 pcs in warehouse WH-01. We want to move this license plate completely from WH-01 to WH-02 keeping the same license plate number in another warehouse also.

    1- Create transfer order for all the items on the license plate with the quantity on the license plate. (Here item A and item B for 5 and 7 pcs)

    2- Release the transfer order to warehouse

    3- Complete the work for the transfer order picking and make sure you pick from license plate LP-01 for both items.

    4- Select target license plate as the license plate number plus add Transfer at the back. You need to override the target license plate on mobile device if you have setup for automatic generation.(Here type LP-01 Transfer)

    5- Now pack the shipment and pack the complete license plate in one container itself. Name the container same as the license plate you are moving. (Here in our case  container will be named as LP-01)

    6- Confirm the shipment.

    7- Now use mobile device to receive the license plate using mobile device option "License plate receiving and put away". and make sure "Group put away" check mark is checked in the setup. (This will move the complete license plate from INBOUND location to the final put location)

    8- Now as the receiving work is completed you have moved both items item A and item B to the new warehouse WH-02 with same license plate number LP-01.

    In the below screenshot you can see I have moved license plate OXOLLOXO 51 which was having two items completely from 1305 warehouse to 1307 keeping the number same. This way you also get the reference that the license plate was moved from the old warehouse from the transactions.

    The only thing to remember is that you have to move the complete pallet. Partial movement of pallet inventory will not be supported by the above solution.
