Purchase requisition delivery address not copied to purchase order

Hello, in our system it is happening that when a new delivery address is selected from here (see marked in red, screenshot 1), out of another vendor account for example, the system doesnt copy this to the purchase order. I read there is a purchasing policy which allows this, but I cant find the option. Would you please be so kind to tell me how to enable this?

Note: I tried this (just in case) without success

I have the same question (0)

The first place we'd check would be the address type that is being selected -- ensure it is a delivery address.

Typically, the available delivery addresses come from the organization or site that is receiving the Purchase Order. The icon referenced allows a user to select from any address in the address book. Delivery addresses would be available in the drop down rather than selecting that icon.

    Hi Sirius,

Is the purchase order in your case created from a purchase requisition?

    Best regards,

    Hi Sirius,

Is your question how to navigate to the form as shared in your second screenshot? If so, you can go to Procurement and sourcing > Setup > Policies > Purchasing policies.

In case there are already policies created, you can click on a Name in the grid which opens the policy editor. Then in the policy roles tab page, select the option Purchase requisition control rule. Here you can create a new rule or make changes.

    Hello,

Could you please check whether the following policies have been enabled? I reviewed the setup and noticed that the PR address is correctly copied to the PO. Also, when the PR is created, the default address is pulled from the legal entity address.

In my environment, the following policies are enabled. I’m not entirely sure which one is triggering this copy behavior, but I suspect it may be related to one of these policies.

    • Catalog policy rule
    • Category access policy rule
    • Category policy rule
    • Reapproval rule for purchase orders
    • Purchase order creation and demand consolidation rule

    Hi,

also in my Demo environment the address is copied correctly even if selected from another vendor, and this happens also without any policies configured. Are you sure that you do not have any customization in place?

Encore Business Solutions: I just tried delivery as purpose for the vendor address and same result: not copied from requisitions to purchase order

Laurens: yes, thats the problem, delivery address not properly copied to the purchase order

Andre: no, my question is why may be that the delivery address is not being properly copied from the purchase requisition to the purchase order when the purchase order is created. I am using this option, then selecting a vendor, and even if the address is also delivered, then not copied:

Mallesh: I navigated through the policies, the problem is that I cannot find any option which explains this, except for the one I initially shared in my screenshot. Any idea?

Paolo: there are only two policies activated for purchase requisitions, the first one just has vendor required=YES and thats it, the second is more complex but it has nothing which explains this or activates this. I dont understand what I can do here :(

Thank everybody for your comments! hope somebody could provide me more information.

    Hi Sirius,

The address is not coming from the supplier, but from the legal entity.

What is the requisition purpose in your case?

    Best regards,
    Laurens van der Tang

    Hello Laurens, thanks.

My problem here is not about the default address I get, it is that this option should allow to copy an address from another warehouse, vendor, etc:

And it does, it copies the address to the requisition from a vendor (for example), but when the purchase order is created out of a purchase requisition, then this address is not considered and not copied to the purchase order.

The purpose of the requisition is consumption by the way. Thanks for your time!

Hi Laurens, thanks for your answer, it is always copied from the warehouse address and/or legal entity address it seems as per my tests. I have tried: trying to copy from a warehouse, vendor, the result is always the same. I changed the address from the warehouse which pops up my default and it is not considered as well even if it is marked as delivery address and primary. I am afraid this may be due to customizations. I also tried disabling all policies and the result is the same (a colleague with access to a standard version of the system doesnt have active purch policies and it works fine for him).

    Rgds,
