User not seeing menu item but has security. AX 2012 R2

We have an end user that when he logs onto the client on his computer a certain menu item is missing. But if he logs into another computer the menu item is available. If someone logs on with sysadmin on this same computer, the menu item is there.

We have deleted AUC/KTI files for all the users on that computer, deleted all usage data, and checked that the client version is up to date.

Anyone have some thoughts?

Maybe the menu item is hidden. if you right click on the form, go to personalize, in layout find the menu item and on the right side in properties, make sure Visible is checked.

There is nothing to hide. The menu item is missing on the area page. Not on a specific form.

    Hi James,

    See if this helps:

Click File – View – Navigation pane options

Click Reset buton to tick all tick boxes for each module and click Ok

    Kind Regards,

    V

    Hi James,

This might happen when you modify user roles run-time.

Please check the following threads and refresh the role cache

Have you checked MS Dynamics Configuration. If your running a local client, maybe the configurator is pointing to a environment that the user doesn't have the appropriate security rights in. You can check this in Administrative Tools> Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Configuration. Also, on the client you can go to File, Tools, Options, Status bar, click show AOS name. This will display the AOS on the bottom right of the client screen.
