Display Report based on user login business unit

Hi All,

I had many business unit in the CRM 2013. I had a lots of reports in the report view.

I want to restrict user for viewing some reports. For example, in the CRM 2013 report list have report A, B and C. When user A login, I want based on the user business unit and display report A only in the report view. Is that anyway to achieve this method ? Can we done through the plugin?

Hi,

You can set owner of the report accordinly and can only share to particular BU users if that's fine, Did you considered using these work arounds: www.magnetismsolutions.com/.../show_or_hide_reports_for_certain_users_dynamics_crm_2011 you can talke a look if not done yet.

Report

Use the OOB security role and make sure that you choose the right security level.

Settings -> Security Roles -> select which security role you want -> Core Records tab -> Reports.

Change it to read only BU level reports.

Hi ,

You can only assign report owner either team or particular user , I dont think there is any other way you can do this .except sharing to the user or team. Report is an user/team owned entity and the behavior of the security role for Report are similar like custom or system user/team owned entity.
