Hello,
We often have contacts that are associated with multiple accounts so we've started using connections to avoid having the same person carried multiple times.
How do we use a connection record instead of a contact in a case, for instance? If a child account has a case we want to use a contact in the parent account that has been connected to the child account. My attempts to view all connections and select the one I want isn't working.
Thanks for your help!

Good one Beth :) Please mark your response as answer so that it can help other facing the same/similar issue.
Thanks for the reply, Ravi.
I don't know JavaScript so I avoid it (for now).
What I ended up doing is adding a 1:N relationship from Case to Connections and a lookup field to parent account to my form. I also added a sub-grid for Connections to the form.
This satisfied the user who made the request. She and her team are now able to connect the contact from a parent account to the case for the child account.
Thanks,
Beth
Hi,
There is no standard/ out of box functionality to restrict the lookup records based on connections record. You can however try to set custom view using JavaScript. The only concern I have Is that you may not be able to get the connections from the parent account, you could get it from the account used in the case record.

Hope this helps.
