AX 2012 System Requirement - POS

Hi,

I have a quetion regarding the system reuqirements for the "Hardware requirements for a point-of-sale computer" which can be red in the "System Requirements Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012" published Mars 2012.

For CPU it says:

Minimum: Intel/AMD compatible 1.4 GHz processor
Recommended: Intel/AMD compatible 2 GHz processor

But does this mean Intel ATOM, Intel Pentium, Intel Celeron or even Intel Core i3/i5 CPU's??

It only says the CPU clock speed not the actual type of Intel CPU.

I would like to run our point -of -sale computer (register computers) using this type of hardware:

CPU: Intel ® Atom D525 1.8Ghz Dual Core Processor
HARD DRIVE: 1x 32GB SSD
Memory: 2 GB DDR III RAM
OS: POS Ready 7

And when it comes to our Communication Store Server/Store Database Server running SQL 2008 R2 Express we are considering this type of hardware:

CPU: Intel 1.8GHz Atom D525 Dual Core
HARD DRIVE: 32 GB SSD
Memory: 2GB DDR3 RAM
OS: Windows 7 Pro 32/64

    POS client can be installed below system, POS should be working fine

    CPU: Intel ® Atom D525 1.8Ghz Dual Core Processor

    HARD DRIVE: 1x 32GB SSD

    Memory: 2 GB DDR III RAM

    OS: POS Ready 7

    SQL 2008 R2 Express is used for POS offline db, so should be following the server requirements. I would suggest you to install SQL 2008 R2 on your system and then install POS, since POS would work on both machines, specified by you.
