Refreshing form field

Hi,

On Master Form, I have display() method for name .When I select Account number the name appears but I have to click somewhere on the screen then only the name is appearing but I need it to be auto refreshed so that as soon as I select Account number the name should populate.

I am not sure where to write the code in order to refresh the field by itself.

I have to tried to write Tablename_ds.research() on form's datasource : active, modified method.I have also tried to refresh it on executequery() method.

I 'v tried to refresh, research on table as well but none of them is working.

Please help.

    Hi Roshni,

At what time do you expect the update? During typing, after a lookup or when leaving the field for the account number?

    Hi Andre,

Thanks for your response.I want the name to appear when leaving the field for the account number.

i.e., as soon as I select the account number from the look up, the Name should appear.

    Thanks in Advance!!!

    Hi Roshni,

Is the form control with the account number lookup bound to a table field? Where exactly did you define the display method? Is it a table method you are calling or is it a display method on the form? If it is on the form, make sure it is not on the main node, but defined on the datasource. Then also define a parameter to receive the datasource as variable. If you are using a table display method, the datasource variable is not needed.
