Need some input on an issue I have with following scenario:
Company A and B have an intercompany relation. Company A creates a Sales order with company B as the customer. The product on the Sales order line use constraint-based configuration, and the system is configured in a way that it generates a new configuration numbers/Id/variant when product is configured on the sales order line (using the ”Configure line” option). The configuration number runs on a number sequence.
The product/product master is released in Company B as well.
Now, the system can’t create the intercompany purchase order in Company B, because the newly configured variant is not released in Company B.
The variant does simply not exist until it is configured on the sales order line, so it kind of makes sense - but it is frustrating anyway.
Does anyone know some way around this? Some way to have the system release the new variant automatically in the other legal entity..?
