How to uninstall Management Reporter from the Database?

There are no Management Reporter client installs left on the network, that I am aware of (PC hardware refreshes over the years) and I know Management Reporter is not in use anymore.

There is a ManagementReporter database in the GP database server instance that I would like to remove.

Is it ok to just delete the database?

Are there any other database/GP client artefacts that are going to be in the DYNAMICS or company database left behind by management reporter?

Is there a better way?

I am not familiar enough to know how stand alone it was, or if it had GP client components.

Tim.

If you have MR uninstalled and it isn't being used at all, you can go ahead and just delete the MR databases from SQL just like you would any other database.

For MR, you're only going to have a 'ManagementReporter' database and then maybe a 'ManagementReporterDM' database if you were using data mart.

There isn't really anything else that needs to be removed from Dynamics GP when you remove MR, as it is it's only application.

    Thanks

    Tim,

If you have the ManagementReportDM database setup, you may want to check if there are any "Change Tracking" there are left enabled on specific Company Tables & some DYNAMICS tables.. Un-installing the Datamart connector from MR doesn't always remove those change trackings.. There is a script somewhere to check if tables are tracked and a list of tables to disable that tracking.. Need to look it up somewhere.

Other than that, once you've disabled the Change Tracking, you can just delete the MR Database(s).
