Hi Ekaterina,
I'd recommend a plug-in that runs on create of new opportunities. The plug-in can get the current year, month. The plug-in will also have to query and count then number of opportunities created 'this month' or better yet, count opportunities that have an ID like 'yy-mm-%'. Then increment by one and you have your next one.
Recently it become more popular to use SQL update approach http://blogs.msdn.com/crm/archive/2008/05/13/auto-numbers-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm.aspx
But as for me - it's not the best way cause it's unsupported...
In our company we have used approach that make use of separate custom entity that holds values http://weblogs.asp.net/gayanperera/archive/2008/10/23/crm-4-incremental-numbering-for-any-entity.aspx
We have used it for auto-numbering of a custom entity similar to "Invoice", hence we had to have UNIQUE numbers (that is possible only within the second approach)
Hope this helps.
